Li (Shelley) Yu, CFA is an Investment Services Leader, State Street Investment Services
Shelley Yu is currently an Investment Services Leader at State Street Investment Services, where she plays a key role in delivering client-centric solutions and driving strategic initiatives across the region.
Prior to joining State Street, Shelley served as the ESG & Climate Client Coverage Lead for Corporate at MSCI. Her earlier career spans both the buy- and sell-side, beginning at Goldman Sachs in London where she held a variety of investment banking roles. She later moved into asset management with positions at Schroders and a hedge fund.
Shelley spent nine years at HSBC, where she spearheaded high-impact initiatives such as Allocate to China, China Sustainability, the Belt & Road strategy, Greater Bay Area development, and Euro-Asia Business Corridors.
A CFA Charterholder, Shelley holds a First-Class Honours degree in Financial Economics and is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese. She is an active advocate for diversity and inclusion in the financial sector, having served as Committee Chair within Women in Banking & Finance groups and as Chairperson of HSBC China Connect. In 2019, she was recognised as one of the FT/Yahoo Finance Empower Top 100 Ethnic Minority Executives, ranking #32.
