Biography
Ana is a current third-year student of Russian and Chinese at the University of St Andrews. She recently completed a semester studying Mandarin at National Taiwan University and is now studying Russian at Masqut Narikbayev University in Kazakhstan.
She writes regularly for the Central Asia Forum, with research focusing on the evolving relationships between Russia, China, and Central Asia. Her interest in Chinese culture led her to serve as Events Manager for the St Andrews Chinese Studies Society. Her personal background – half Scottish and half Filipino – deepens her passion for fostering greater understanding of Asian culture and politics in Scotland.
