Biography
Shreya is a communication and digital strategy specialist with over 7 years of experience in the non-profit sector. Deeply curious about the intersection of technology and humanity, especially AI ethics, she was inspired by Scotland’s heritage, people, and culture, fuelling her desire to move here. She is currently the Programme Representative and an MBA Candidate in Strategy and Marketing at the University of Edinburgh Business School, Scotland.
Â
Commencing her journey as an Architect, Artpreneur, Movement Practitioner, and Illustrator, Shreya found her passion in helping social enterprises and non-profits build their communication channels and strengthen their digital presence. She has supported organisations in scaling their impact locally and internationally, working closely across education, arts, culture, corporate, government, and social sectors. Her approach centres on creativity, inclusion, and people-first values to foster innovative, sustainable change.
Â
Her work is rooted in community care, addressing poverty, literacy, specially-abled, queer rights, and gender equality. She has volunteered with groups empowering underprivileged children, blue-collar workers, and aspiring student leaders in remote parts of South Asia and the Middle East. As a TEDx Student Co-Organiser, magazine editor, Digital Lead and contributor to various South Asian cultural festivals, Shreya has led cross-collaborative efforts in digital engagement, design, event production, writing, and virtual learning.
Â
As a Student Representative at the Asia Scotland Institute, she looks forward to connecting with diverse communities, strengthening Asia-UK ties, listening with empathy, and growing through shared experiences.
